About Local Theory

Local Theory comes down to two kinds of music I love — bluegrass and hip hop — and the fact that both are good at the same two things: teaching, and telling a story.

That's the whole idea. Nothing fancy.

Here's the honest part: I'm an awful singer. I can't play an instrument, and I can't write music or lyrics. What I've got is that I love music. So I used AI to make the songs — all of them.

The one thing that isn't a machine is the choosing: when a song has more than one version, real people decide which take ships.
